The MMWMA is an area rich with exotic hunting opportunities blended with native Texas game. Hunters must secure a special permit to hunt the MMWMA. There are an estimated 15 different exotic species of antelope and deer.

There are restriction limits for hunting the MMWMA. Hunting across the preserve is designed for the sole purpose of game population management. However, the variety of game and natural beauty of the park are unparalleled.

Premier Ranch – The Premier Ranch is a private hunting ranch located between Mason and Fredericksburg. Hunters can enjoy the sport of hunting trophy whitetail deer. There is also a healthy herd of axis deer, blackbuck antelope and an assortment of game birds such as quail and turkey.

The Premier Ranch staffs a full crew of expert hunters in each game classification. There are two choices for lodging available at the Premier Ranch. The Blackbuck Lodge is a rustic cabin design. It's perfect for small parties or families.

There is also the Premier Lodge, a spacious hunting lodge with room for up to 20 guests. The Premier Lodge offers seven lodging choices. There is a laundry room and a full kitchen. The Premier Lodge is a perfect setting for large group hunts or corporate events.

Schmidt Double T Ranches – The Schmidt Double T Ranches are another gem of the Texas Hill Country. Located in the heart of the Lone Star State, the rolling landscape is accented with live oaks and mesquite trees. Cacti and bluebonnets are in full bloom during the spring hunting season.

The Schmidt Double T is stocked with whitetail deer, turkey and quail. The habitat is maintained to provide a picturesque hunting experience. There are over 3,000 acres of habitat for hunting. There are two large hunting lodges available for accommodations.
